The $40.00 annual membership fee covers website administration, event planning, newsletters and operational costs.
Are there any additional fees?
Some events require additional fees. The cost varies depending on the activities involved. We offer a mixture of free activities as well as paid events throughout the year. If additional costs are associated with an event, they are clearly posted on the AWN website and detailed in the newsletters.
When is my annual membership fee due?
Your membership fee is set up as an annual subscription. Billing occurs automatically on your individual anniversary date. You will be notified via email when your membership subscription is due. The online payment system will automatically charge your account on your anniversary date.
Who do I talk to regarding service or feedback?
Please email biz@awn.co.nz if you have any issues you would like to discuss. Feedback is always greatly appreciated.
Can I cancel my membership?
Yes, you can cancel your membership at any time. You must 'unsubscribe' as a member to prevent the automatic annual membership fee from being charged to your account. All our email correspondence provides an unsubscribe option at the bottom.
What happens when I unscubscribe?
Please be aware that if you click on 'unsubscribe' from the email correspondence or from the website, you will cancel your membership to the American Women's Network. We will discontinue your email subscription.
What is the refund policy?
Refunds will be made if an error in your account has occurred. However, refunds are not provided due to cancellation of membership. For example, if you move out of the country or decide you no longer wish to participate. Refunds are available at the discretion of management.
How do you keep my personal information private?
Please be assured that the information you provide during an online transaction is treated confidentially, and not disclosed to a third party. We use WorldPay guidelines to protect our users' privacy, which comply with the Data Protection Act 1998. A summary of the guidelines is as follows:
- We do not provide or sell your details to third parties unless you have specifically requested that we do so, in order that these advertisers and/or third parties can offer you information, goods and services that may be of interest to you.
- We reserve the right to disclose information about member usage and demographics to advertisers and partners, but in anonymous aggregate form only.
- We contact members by email with updates about our websites and our services.
- All our email correspondence includes an unsubscribe option.
